BUDDHIST STUDIES

The 100 Verses of Advice
Teachings on Padampa Sangye’s Classic Text
an online 5 week course
In the 11th century the Buddhist master Padampa Sangye offered poetic teachings full of sharp, compassionate guidance on how to live a spiritual life amidst the realities of the world.
Today these 100 short verses are more relevant than ever.
Intended for those with a familiarity in Buddhism, each class is a small group moving through the verses one by one with commentary and guided contemplations on the key points by Lodro Rinzler, and one half small group discussion on how to integrate these ancient teachings into our modern life.
The text we will be studying (above) includes further commentary by the modern master Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, essentially allowing us to study the verses through three different lenses.
THIS COURSE TAKES PLACE ON THURSDAY FROM 8:00-9:30PM EST
OCTOBER 9TH - NOVEMBER 6TH
Curriculum
The course will meet online, going verse by verse through the classic text The Hundred Verses of Advice to the People of Tingri, answering such questions as:
How do I live meaningfully in a world that is always changing?
What causes suffering, and how can I be free of it?
How do I relate to others with wisdom and compassion?
What does true spiritual practice look like in everyday life?
What is the true nature of the mind, and how can I realize it?
All classes are recorded for anyone who is unable to attend live

LODRO RINZLER is a Buddhist meditation teacher, the award-winning author of 7 books, including the bestseller The Buddha Walks Into A Bar… and the co-founder of MNDFL Meditation studios in NYC. He lives upstate with his wife, daughter and four furry beings.
“For the four years I've been studying with Lodro, he always pushes me towards more compassion and sensitivity for myself and others. In his teaching, Lodro consistently provides the perfect mix of traditional wisdom and contemporary experience, showing that what we think are our oh-so-modern problems are really pretty much the same as the ones humans have always been encountering.”
