2026: The Year to Wake Up
This year Lodro’s community, The Basic Goodness Collective, is engaging in a Year to Wake Up.
This isn’t just another “course.” It’s an invitation to join a community dedicating these twelve months to waking up—to your own peace of mind, your essential worth, your capacity for resilience—and to live your life from a meaning that is personal to who you are.
You can sign up for the full Year to Wake Up, the Year plus Mindfulness Teacher Training, or for individual classes that appeal to you.
The Month of Mindfulness - January 1st - 31st
The acclaimed month of meditation, where we meditate together every. single. day is back! The first week is free to join.
Buddhist Psychology 101: Why We Suffer and How to Be Free - February 12th - March 26th
This seven-week class dives into the Foundations of Buddhism, including the Four Noble Truths and Eightfold Path
Emotional Healing - April 9th - 30th
A four week intensive where you gain four new meditations for your proverbial tool-belt, all focused on befriending our emotional landscape
Buddhist Psychology 202: Formation of Ego and Seeing Through the Self - May 14th - June 4th
A four week Buddhist studies class covering the ins and outs of what makes you…well, you. Includes in-depth study of the 3 Root Poisons, the 12 Nidanas, the 5 Skandhas and Twofold Emptiness
The Summer of Love (and Wisdom) - June 25th - August 6th
Get ready for the best summer of your life. The summer of love is focuses on a different Buddhist teaching and practice each week including Loving-Kindness, Compassion, Sympathetic Joy, Equanimity and the Six Paramitas
Training the Mind of Compassion and Wisdom: Lojong Teachings for 2026 - August 20th - October 1st
Over seven weeks we cover the entirety of Atisha’s famous lojong, or mind-training slogans. Beginning with profound teachings on reality and moving into practical everyday techniques, each slogan has pith instructions on how to live our life with grace and wakefulness
How to Rest the Mind - October 15th - November 19th - Advanced Class - Must attend all other classes to participate
As we move to the end of the year, we focus on advanced Buddhist techniques for relaxing the mind and introduce the Vajrayana for those who may want to study that path going forward.
Engaged Buddhism: Making the Everyday Sacred - December 3rd - 31st
We began the year with a practice intensive and we close the year with a month of deep reflection. We will engage in peer-learning, journaling exercises, intention-setting and other modalities to process what we have learned this year and how to apply it to our home life, career, managing holiday stress, social action and the year ahead: 2027.
