Year to Wake Up
This isn’t just another “course.” It’s an invitation to join a community dedicating these twelve months to waking up—to your own peace of mind, your essential worth, your capacity for resilience—and to live your life from a meaning that is personal to who you are.
You can sign up for the full Year to Wake Up, the Year plus Mindfulness Teacher Training, or for individual classes that appeal to you.
The Month of Mindfulness - January 1st - 31st
Each week you are taught a new guided meditation. Each day you get a short mindful prompt with words of wisdom to integrate mindfulness into your everyday life.
Finding Goodness in a World on Fire - In-Person Meditation Retreat - January 16th-19th
In a time when the world often feels chaotic, divided, and overwhelming, it’s easy to lose touch with our own sense of goodness—let alone the goodness in others. This weekend retreat offers a refuge of connection. Through guided meditations, contemplative practices, dharma talks, and heartfelt discussion, we will explore how to reconnect with our inherent worthiness and compassion, even in the midst of difficulty. Note: this offering is run through an outside organization and not included in the Year to Wake Up.

Learn the Four Noble Truths and Eightfold Path—practical tools to understand suffering and cultivate liberation in daily life.

The Art of Spiritual Writing - 6 week online writing workshop starts March 18th
You have some truth in your heart that you know will help people and you want to get it on page and out to people...but how? Let’s do it together. Over six weeks, you and nine other colleagues will study the art of spiritual writing with Lodro, who has been creating spiritual writing for major publications for the last 15 years. Note: this offering is run through an outside organization and not included in the Year to Wake Up.

How to Rest the Mind - October 15th - November 19th - Advanced Class - Must attend all other classes to participate
For those who’ve completed the full year’s classes, this final study introduces advanced meditations for resting in awareness and gently opening toward the Vajrayana path.

Engaged Buddhism: Making the Everyday Sacred - December 3rd - 31st
We began the year with a practice intensive and we close the year with a month of deep reflection. We will engage in peer-learning, journaling exercises, intention-setting and other modalities to process what we have learned this year and how to apply it to our home life, career, managing holiday stress, social action and the year ahead: 2027.
